Synopsis
High Risk (1995) is a Hong Kong action comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Wong Jing took Die Hard and turned it into a sharp parody: Jet Li plays Kit Li, an ex-soldier who lost his family to a bomb, while pop star Jacky Cheung plays the cowardly movie idol Kit secretly doubles for in every dangerous stunt.
The real fireworks start at a Hong Kong hotel hosting an exhibition of jewels. A terrorist called The Doctor — the man behind the death of Kit's family — seizes the building. Hostages, elevator shafts, vents, gunfire down hallways. And the pampered actor who fakes courage on camera has to find some for real.
