Synopsis

From there every faction dumps its errands on the poor man: a secret society wants the Qing dynasty toppled, the emperor's advisor is after a sacred kung-fu manual, the Dowager Empress guards her own secrets, and Siu Bo has to juggle all of it while lying faster than he can think. Director Wong Jing tore up Jin Yong's classic novel and rebuilt it as pure mayhem — mo lei tau gags, kung-fu spoofery and Chow's machine-gun patter. Ng Man-tat and Brigitte Lin shine alongside him.
