Synopsis

Redford directed the film from Neil Gordon's novel and took the lead himself, surrounding the role with a deep bench: Shia LaBeouf, Julie Christie, Susan Sarandon, Nick Nolte, Chris Cooper, Stanley Tucci. It is a patient, talky thriller built for viewers who care more about the moral bill coming due than about gunfire, asking what a person still owes the convictions of his youth.
