Son of Frankenstein

Son of Frankenstein (1939) is a Universal Horror classic you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Rowland V. Lee. Wolf von Frankenstein arrives in his father's village with his family to claim the estate, and is met with barely concealed hatred — the locals have not forgotten what was built in that laboratory.

In the family crypt, Wolf finds the Monster still alive, locked in a coma, and alongside it a hunched shepherd named Ygor, played by Bela Lugosi. Ygor survived his own hanging and has been keeping the Monster hidden ever since, using it to settle scores with the jurors who condemned him. Basil Rathbone plays Wolf as a man pulled between his father's legacy and the growing evidence that reviving the creature is a catastrophic mistake. Boris Karloff took on the Monster role here for the third and final time in the original Universal run.
