Synopsis
Hair Love (2019) is an animated short you can watch online on iFILM. No dialogue, just seven minutes of a father trying to do his daughter's hair for the first time before a big day.
Little Zuri has a thick head of curls that seem to fight back at every turn. Mom always handled this part, but she isn't around today, so dad squares up against comb, brush and a tablet tutorial to get it right. Issa Rae voices the piece, directed by Matthew A. Cherry alongside Everett Downing Jr. and Bruce W. Smith.
