Synopsis
Legend of the BoneKnapper Dragon (2010) is a DreamWorks Animation short you can watch online on iFILM — a 16-minute side adventure set in the How to Train Your Dragon universe, released as a DVD bonus feature. The full voice cast returns: Jay Baruchel, Craig Ferguson, Gerard Butler, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill and Kristen Wiig.
This time the spotlight falls on Gobber the Belch, Hiccup's gruff mentor. For years Gobber has chased the Boneknapper — a dragon no one else believes in — and the kids reluctantly tag along on his quest. The joke is that each flashback to Gobber's past encounters gets wilder and more improbable. Director John Puglisi keeps the tone squarely in the playful register of the original film, and Ferguson's voice work carries most of the comedy.
