Lee Keller (Michael Shannon) has a gambling problem that has gone well past a problem. Anthony's mother (Carla Gugino) keeps the household from fully collapsing, but not for much longer. Taylor John Smith carries the lead without false heroics; Zazie Beetz plays his girlfriend, steady and clear-eyed in a story where almost everyone else is not.
