Synopsis
Sherrybaby (2006) is an American drama from director Laurie Collyer, available to watch online on iFILM. Fresh out of a three-year prison stretch, Sherry Swanson heads back to her New Jersey hometown with one goal: to mother her little girl again.
While she was away, her brother and his wife raised the child, and her sister-in-law has no intention of stepping aside. Old jobs, old friends, an old self — the life Sherry left behind doesn't make room for her easily. Worse, the addiction that put her inside is still there, waiting for a crack. Maggie Gyllenhaal plays Sherry with no vanity at all: charming, reckless, and her own worst enemy. Giancarlo Esposito and Danny Trejo turn up in small, sharp supporting parts.
