Synopsis

Hyakkaou Private Academy runs on a single currency: winning. At this school for the children of Japan's ultra-wealthy, rank is earned and lost at the gambling table. Yumeko blew through that hierarchy in the drama series. The film gives her a tougher opponent and sharper stakes — and she is delighted about both.
Hamabe is the reason this franchise works. She plays Yumeko not as a cool tactician but as someone who comes alive when losing looks certain. At 119 minutes the film runs longer than a single episode, and the pacing shows — but in the gambling-thriller genre, nothing else covers this ground.
