Synopsis
Edmond (2006) is a pitch-black American drama directed by Stuart Gordon that you can watch online on iFILM. William H. Macy plays Edmond Burke, a grey-suited office drone in his forties who walks out of his marriage one evening after a fortune teller tells him he is not where he is supposed to be.
What follows is a night-long descent. Edmond drifts through strip clubs, peep shows and seedy bars, getting cheated, humiliated and turned away at every stop. The anger he has kept buried for decades starts surfacing — raw, racist and violent. David Mamet adapted his own stage play, and the dialogue carries that distinctive Mamet pulse: short, blunt exchanges that build to something genuinely ugly. Denise Richards, Julia Stiles and Joe Mantegna appear in supporting roles.
The film does not ask you to like Edmond or forgive him. That refusal to soften the character is exactly what makes it uncomfortable and worth watching. Stream Edmond (2006) online on iFILM.
