Archie has spent years working up to telling his best friend Amelia how he feels. On the exact day he decides to go through with it, an American transfer student called Billy Walsh walks into school. Confident, likeable, immediately magnetic — Amelia is gone by lunchtime. Rather than confess or retreat, Archie volunteers to help her win Billy over, a plan that makes sense in a way only he fully understands. Kunal Nayar and Nick Frost appear in supporting roles. The film keeps its tone light without cheating its characters: the timing question at the centre of it is genuinely difficult, and the script doesn't pretend otherwise.
