Synopsis
Braddock: Missing in Action III (1988) is an action film starring Chuck Norris as Colonel James Braddock — watch it online on iFILM. Directed by Aaron Norris and produced by Cannon Films, the franchise's third entry shifts the story from POW rescue to something more personal: Braddock learns his Vietnamese wife and twelve-year-old son survived, and goes back into communist Vietnam alone to bring them out.
What he finds when he gets there is more complicated than a one-man extraction. The camp holds dozens of Amerasian children — sons and daughters of American servicemen, left behind when the troops withdrew and now living under harsh conditions. Keith David appears in a supporting role, one of the few cast members given room to register beyond the action setpieces. The film was shot on location in the Philippines, giving the jungle sequences a sweaty authenticity that the studio backlot could not have matched.
By the standards of 1980s Cannon action, this one carries more weight than its predecessors. The rescue has real stakes and an unusual humanitarian thread for the genre. Stream Braddock: Missing in Action III online on iFILM.
