Godzilla 2000: Millennium

Godzilla 2000: Millennium (1999) is a Japanese sci-fi action film from Toho you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Takao Okawara. It kicked off the Millennium series — a clean break from the Heisei era continuity, treating the 1954 original as the only prior event in the timeline.

A small independent outfit called the Godzilla Prediction Network tracks the monster as he makes landfall near Nemuro. Then a second problem surfaces: an enormous rock formation estimated at tens of millions of years old rises from the ocean floor near Ibaraki Prefecture, starts levitating, and turns out to conceal an alien spacecraft. The craft reshapes itself into a massive creature called Orga, and what it wants is Godzilla's regenerative DNA. The final confrontation between the two giants is the centrepiece Toho built the whole film toward — and it delivers the kind of destruction fans of the franchise come for.
