Synopsis
Metal Lords (2022) is an American coming-of-age comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Peter Sollett and written by Damon Lindelof of Lost fame. Jayden Martell and Adrian Greensmith play Hunter and Kevin — two high-school misfits dead set on winning Battle of the Bands through the sheer force of heavy metal.
Hunter is the true believer: every waking hour devoted to riffs, solos and the sacred rules of the genre. Kevin can actually play but freezes the moment anyone's watching. Their plan collapses almost immediately when they realise they have no drummer and no real shot at the stage. Enter an unlikely third member who brings bagpipes, emotional baggage and just enough chaos to make the whole thing interesting.
What makes the film stick is that Lindelof sneaks a genuine story about belonging and loyalty underneath all the feedback and distortion.
