Synopsis
House Party 2 (1991) is an American coming-of-age comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Co-directed by Doug McHenry and George Jackson, it brings back the rap duo Kid 'n Play.
This sequel pushes the pair out of the old neighborhood and into the messy business of being a grown-up. Kid heads off to college and runs straight into tuition bills and culture shock, while Play chases a fast fortune in the music industry and gets tangled up with a slick producer. Between lectures, parties and shady deals, both have to figure out who they want to be now that childhood is officially over.
The movie grew out of early-'90s hip-hop culture, and its real draw is the energy and the soundtrack of that moment. Watch for young Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell and Queen Latifah in the cast.
