Adults in the Room

Christos Loulis plays Varoufakis as a man who trusts logic and arithmetic while the people across the table are playing something else entirely. Valeria Golino, Ulrich Tukur and a cast of European actors put real faces on power.

Costa-Gavras has been dissecting politics on screen since Z, and here he builds a near-chamber thriller with no gunfire at all — the tension lives in pauses, phone calls and signed documents.
