Red Soil

Red Soil (Rouge, 2021) is a French social drama you can watch online on iFILM. Nour goes along with her father's reasoning at first. But the more rigged results and damaged lungs she sees, the harder it gets to stay silent — until she chooses the one thing Slimane spent his whole career avoiding and decides to blow the whistle.

Director Farid Bentoumi builds a taut story about the price of honesty, with the fault line running straight through a family. Zita Hanrot as Nour and Sami Bouajila as her father carry the film on a quiet, near-documentary tension, alongside Céline Sallette and Olivier Gourmet.
