Jury Duty (2023) is an American mockumentary comedy series you can watch online on iFILM — tagline says it all: twelve jurors, eleven actors. Ronald Gladden showed up to what he believed was a documentary about the U.S. court system. In reality, every other person in the room was performing, the case was fictional, and the cameras were rolling on him.

One of those fellow jurors is James Marsden playing a heightened version of himself, and watching Gladden navigate that relationship without ever clocking the joke is where the series earns its best moments. Director Jake Szymanski keeps the comedy rooted in warmth rather than cruelty — Gladden turns out to be genuinely decent, which changes the texture of the whole thing. Eight episodes, all on Freevee.
