Synopsis
Spider Baby (1967) is an American horror-comedy you can watch online on iFILM. In a crumbling rural estate, the last surviving branch of the Merrye family is quietly coming apart — a hereditary condition causes the children to mentally regress as they age, and only their aging chauffeur Bruno keeps things from going completely wrong.
Then distant relatives arrive with a lawyer and designs on the inheritance. Director Jack Hill shot the film in 1964, but it sat unreleased for three years before reaching screens — long enough to become a cult object before most audiences had seen it. Lon Chaney Jr., the man behind Universal's Wolf Man, plays Bruno in one of his final substantial roles. Sid Haig, years before Rob Zombie turned him into a genre icon, is here as well.
