Spiral

Spiral (2007) is a psychological thriller you can watch online on iFILM, co-directed by Adam Green and Joel David Moore. A reclusive telemarketer — his social world limited to a phone-contact boss and the quiet of his apartment — gets an unlikely opening when a quirky co-worker decides to befriend him.

Moore directed himself in the lead, which turns out to work: his performance is interior and uneasy, and you're never entirely sure what's underneath it. Amber Tamblyn plays the co-worker pulling him toward something like human contact; Zachary Levi and Tricia Helfer fill out the small cast. The film is quiet for a long time. Then it isn't.
