Tudyk plays Wray Nerely, the co-star of "Spectrum," a beloved sci-fi show that was cancelled before its time and became a cult classic. Now Wray makes the convention circuit — Comic-Cons, store appearances, pop-culture events — trading on a fame that's emotionally real but financially thin. His former co-star Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion) somehow turned the same cult credit into genuine A-list status. The contrast between the two is funny, and occasionally a little sad.
