Synopsis
L!fe Happens (2011) is a breezy indie comedy starring Krysten Ritter that you can watch online on iFILM. One careless night leaves twenty-something party girl Kim a single mom, and her whole routine tips over.
The baby rewrites everything. While Kim figures out diapers and dating without losing herself, her best friend Deena (Kate Bosworth) is suddenly on a roll — a writing career taking off, men, late nights out. They still share the same apartment, which turns their friendship into a daily stress test. Rachel Bilson plays the third roommate; Geoff Stults is the guy Kim keeps not mentioning the kid to.
Director Kat Coiro co-wrote the script with Ritter herself, and the film runs on her dry, prickly comic timing instead of gooey motherhood clichés. It's a small, low-key watch for anyone who likes stories about women in their late twenties at a crossroads and the friendships that barely survive growing up.
