Britney vs. Spears (2021) is a documentary by filmmaker Erin Lee Carr and journalist Jenny Eliscu — watch it online on iFILM. The two spent years gathering sealed court filings, confidential sources and testimony that had never made it into mainstream coverage of the conservatorship.

The film is less about Britney Spears the celebrity and more about the legal structure her father Jamie Spears built around her: how it was approved, how it operated, and how long the people inside it stayed silent. Netflix released it in September 2021, weeks before a judge finally terminated the arrangement.
