Synopsis
Pegasus 2 (飞驰人生2, 2024) is a Chinese racing comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Zhang Chi was once the country's top rally driver. Now he scrapes by as a driving-school instructor, trading on a name that means less every year. Then a near-bankrupt car factory makes him an offer: a sponsored team for one last run at the Bayinbrook Rally.
Shen Teng, one of China's biggest comedy box-office draws, leads the cast. Director Han Han — a former racer and novelist himself — picks up the thread of his own 2019 hit, again blending real high-speed track footage with jokes about middle age, debt and stubbornness. Zhang assembles a ragtag crew, fixes battered cars with whatever's on hand, and sets out to prove everyone wrote him off too soon.
The film rides a simple, honest beat: a washed-up loser handed one more lap. The closing mountain-pass race is shot tight enough to make your palms sweat without any 3D gimmicks.
