Synopsis

The voice on the line sounds like her daughter. It says come find me. With a burned-out ex-cop and a journalist who covers the occult, Claudia follows evidence that pulls her toward a secret cult with roots far darker than a single disappearance. Emma Vilarasau carries the film on a performance built around hope rather than fear, which turns out to be far harder to watch.
Balagueró made this before [REC] established his reputation, but the instincts are all here: sustained dread over jump scares, architecture and shadow doing the heavy lifting. The Nameless works precisely because it never fully explains itself. Stream The Nameless (1999) on iFILM.
