Let Go

Let Go (Släpp taget, 2024) is a Swedish family drama written and directed by Josephine Bornebusch — watch it online on iFILM. Stella is exhausted and somewhere past the point of trying. Her marriage is grinding toward its end, her kids have stopped listening, and the household runs on cold silence and polite avoidance.

Her last idea: take everyone on a road trip to the pole dancing competition where her teenage daughter is competing. Paul Sverre Hagen plays the husband she can barely look at. Sigrid Johnson plays the daughter whose hobby Stella finds difficult to accept. The trip designed to fix everything becomes the place where everything that went unsaid finally comes out.

Bornebusch doesn't offer easy resolution — the film is more interested in how people who genuinely care about each other become completely unable to show it.
