Synopsis
"Executioners from Shaolin" (洪熙官, 1977) is a Hong Kong martial arts film you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Lau Kar-leung for Shaw Brothers, it spans generations of revenge: after the fall of the Shaolin Temple, a warrior named Hung dedicates years to mastering the Tiger style so he can one day face the near-invincible monk Pai Mei — played by Lo Lieh as someone genuinely difficult to kill.
The trouble is that Pai Mei can retract his vital points inside his body, making direct Tiger strikes useless. Hung's wife — a Crane-style specialist — may understand something that her husband's obsession won't let him see. Lau Kar-leung, one of Hong Kong cinema's great martial arts choreographers, designed the fights here as a dialogue between two philosophies rather than a sequence of moves. That distinction separates this from the average Shaw Brothers entry. Stream "Executioners from Shaolin" (1977) on iFILM.
