Synopsis

The night before the Allied invasion of Europe, German intelligence lifts an American major who knows the date and landing point. No interrogation room. Instead: a fake American military hospital, a German doctor posing as his longtime physician, and a cover story that the war ended years ago. Everything in the room — the nurses, the newspapers, the small talk — is engineered to make him open up. They have thirty-six hours before the fiction falls apart.
