Synopsis
You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet (2012) — watch online on iFILM. Alain Resnais, the French New Wave director behind Last Year at Marienbad, assembled a gallery of the finest actors in French cinema for this late-career film: Lambert Wilson, Mathieu Amalric, Michel Piccoli, Pierre Arditi, Sabine Azéma.
A celebrated playwright has died, and his former actors are summoned to his estate. In the drawing room they watch a recording — a young company performing his play "Eurydice," based on Jean Anouilh. The veterans begin murmuring familiar lines, then saying them aloud, then acting them. The room dissolves. A provincial station café takes shape. Orpheus enters, violin in hand.
Resnais turned the film into something that academic labels barely contain — part screening, part séance, part meditation on what performers carry inside them long after the curtain falls. It competed at Cannes in 2012. Stream You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet (2012) online on iFILM.
