Certified Copy (2010), Abbas Kiarostami's romantic drama with Juliette Binoche, is ready to watch online on iFILM. English writer James arrives in Tuscany to present a book about authenticity and reproduction in art. A French gallery owner meets him there, and the two set off together through the hill town of Lucignano.

Then things turn slippery. In a village café the owner mistakes them for a married couple, and rather than correct her, they slip into the part. They argue about how long they've been wed, trade memories of a shared past, wound each other for real. Whether they are strangers playing house or spouses of fifteen years, the film deliberately never says. Binoche took the Best Actress prize at Cannes for this, carrying the whole conversation on her shoulders.

It is Kiarostami's only European feature and a sly riff on his lifelong question: what separates a copy from the original if the copy moves you just as much. One for viewers happy with a puzzle that offers no solution and prizes long talk over plot. Stream Certified Copy (2010) online on iFILM.
