Robot Overlords

Robot Overlords (2015) is a British sci-fi adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Earth has been taken over by machines from another galaxy; every surviving human wears a neural implant that incincerates anyone who steps outside. The occupiers want obedience, not casualties — at least for now.

A group of teenagers figures out how to disable their chips and breaks out into a Britain they barely recognise. Callan McAuliffe leads the pack as a boy searching for his missing father; Ben Kingsley plays a scientist who has chosen the robots' side, and Gillian Anderson is the mother left behind. Director Jon Wright keeps things moving — this is a film aimed squarely at younger audiences, and it knows it.
