Synopsis
Shaolin Temple (1982) is a classic kung fu action film you can watch online on iFILM. This Chinese–Hong Kong production marked the screen debut of a 19-year-old Jet Li and sparked a wave of fascination with the Shaolin monastery.
The story unfolds in 7th-century Tang China. A young man watches a treacherous general murder his father, then escapes and takes shelter inside the walls of Shaolin, begging the monks to train him. Years of brutal practice turn a runaway slave into a fighter driven by a single purpose: revenge.
It was shot on real mountains and at the ancient temple itself, performed by athletes from genuine wushu schools — which is why the stunts and fight choreography land without a single fake. Director Chang Hsin-Yen made the film that launched Jet Li's global career. Essential viewing for anyone who loves old-school martial arts. Stream Shaolin Temple (1982) online on iFILM.
