Synopsis
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (2011) is a standalone anime feature directed by Kazuya Murata that you can watch online on iFILM. Edward and Alphonse Elric chase a prison escapee whose alchemic abilities don't match anything in their experience, and the trail leads them to Table City — a borderland slum where the Milos people have spent generations as second-class subjects in someone else's country.
The fugitive is looking for his sister, Julia Crichton, who carries a secret her family paid a heavy price to keep. The film builds its own political conflict within the familiar Fullmetal Alchemist world — there's colonial occupation, revolutionary planning, and a thread about the Philosopher's Stone that connects to the series' deeper mythology without requiring a full rewatch to follow. The action sequences are sharply animated, and Romi Park and Rie Kugimiya reprise their lead roles. A solid watch for fans of the franchise who want a self-contained story.
