Synopsis
Last Hero in China (1993) is a Hong Kong action comedy with Jet Li that you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Wong Jing, it's a rowdy costume martial-arts romp built around the legendary folk hero Wong Fei-hung, who fights first and asks questions later.
Wong's school has fame but nowhere to train. He grabs what looks like a great deal on a new hall — and only afterward learns there's a brothel right next door. That turns out to be the least of it. Slavers are operating in the neighborhood, snatching women and selling them off, shielded by crooked officials and corrupt Buddhist monks. Wong and his students refuse to look away. What follows is wall-to-wall fighting that climaxes with Jet Li's hero adopting a wild "iron rooster" style to take the villains apart.
The movie rides the early-1990s wave of Wong Fei-hung films, but trades the usual solemn heroics for slapstick and silliness. Frantic fight choreography, goofy gags and Jet Li at his physical peak make this a treat for old-school Hong Kong cinema fans. Stream Last Hero in China (1993) online on iFILM.
