Synopsis
Written and directed by Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson in the MCU), Trust Me (2013) is a Hollywood satire you can watch online on iFILM. Gregg also stars as Howard Holloway, a former child actor who spent the next thirty years sliding sideways into a career as a mid-level talent agent nobody returns calls from.
His luck shifts when he discovers Lydia Hole, a 13-year-old prodigy played by Saxon Sharbino, with a real shot at a major studio picture. Standing in the way: her volatile, hard-drinking father, a rival agent actively torpedoing the deal, and casting directors who wrote Howard off years ago. Sam Rockwell, Amanda Peet, Felicity Huffman, Allison Janney, and William H. Macy show up in roles that land harder than their screen time suggests.
The screenplay has a specific, earned bitterness to it — the kind you can only write from the inside. Stream Trust Me online on iFILM.
