Synopsis
"Splitting Heirs" (1993) is a British comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Eric Idle wrote the script and stars in it — his post-Python solo project, trading Arthur and the Holy Grail for the English peerage. Director Robert Young spins a farce about two babies swapped at birth: the real heir grows up in poverty convinced he's the son of an Indian chef, while the imposter inherits a title, an estate and every privilege attached.
Rick Moranis plays the American who is technically the duke, John Cleese is the family solicitor with very flexible ethics, Barbara Hershey is the glamorous mother at the centre of the confusion, and a 23-year-old Catherine Zeta-Jones appears as the woman both men want.
