T-34

T-34 (2018) is a Russian wartime action film directed by Aleksey Sidorov, available to watch online on iFILM. Starring Aleksandr Petrov, Viktor Dobronravov, Irina Starshenbaum and Vinzenz Kiefer, the film runs 139 minutes and centers on a daring escape from a German prisoner-of-war camp inside a damaged but operational T-34-85 tank.

It is 1944. Lieutenant Nikolai Ivushkin has spent years in captivity when a German officer named Jäger — his opponent from a clash in 1941 — orders him to crew a captured Soviet tank for target practice during training exercises. Ivushkin sees something different in that order. He quietly picks his team and waits for the right moment.

Sidorov shot the interior tank sequences with high-speed cameras to stretch every shell impact and mechanical move into something almost balletic — this is closer to a heist film than a traditional war drama, and that choice is what makes it work as pure spectacle.
