Synopsis
Bright: Samurai Soul (ブライト: サムライソウル, 2021) — watch online on iFILM. A Netflix anime spin-off that takes the world of Bright — where humans, orcs, and elves share an uneasy planet — and drops it into feudal Japan.
Rōnin Izō and his orc companion Raiden take on an escort job: get a young elf girl and the magic wand she carries safely to the elven lands in the north. The wand draws the wrong kind of attention. Director Kyōhei Ishiguro (Your Lie in April) keeps the pacing tight — this is a road-movie first, a world-building exercise second — and the animation from studio Kamikaze Douga gives the period setting a clean, distinctive look.
