Synopsis
Friends: The Reunion (2021) is the HBO Max reunion special you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Ben Winston. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer returned to the original Burbank soundstage for the first time in seventeen years.
The six walk through Monica and Rachel's apartment, the Central Perk set and the fountain courtyard — all rebuilt exactly as they were. James Corden hosts the conversation: audition stories, favourite moments from the original ten seasons, table reads of famous scenes, and appearances from special guests including Lady Gaga, David Beckham, Justin Bieber and Cara Delevingne.
What gives this more weight than a standard clip show is visible in the faces. These are people in their fifties remembering their twenties, and that gap is never quite hidden.
