The Cartel (Seasons 1–2)

The Cartel (El Cartel de los Sapos, 2008) is a Colombian crime series you can watch online on iFILM. Martín González comes from an ordinary middle-class family, but he wants more, and faster.

Through Pepe Cadena, a friend from the military academy, he reaches Pepe's older brother Óscar, a neighborhood drug boss. First the lab, then the trust, then the first big shipment. The higher Martín climbs, the shorter his list of people worth trusting becomes. In this trade everyone informs on everyone — hence the original title's nod to "toads," the snitches.

The show is adapted from the memoir of Andrés López López, a former member of the Norte del Valle cartel, and it refuses to glamorize the work, showing instead how it grinds people down.
