Synopsis
The Flesh (La carne, 1991) — watch online on iFILM — an Italian erotic drama directed by Marco Ferreri, with Sergio Castellitto and Francesca Dellera. A cabaret pianist meets a woman so physically overwhelming that ordinary life simply stops registering.
The two retreat to a house by the sea and stay there. What begins as attraction becomes obsession, then something more like possession — a consuming dynamic from which only one of them seems capable of walking away. Ferreri, who dismantled middle-class desire so mercilessly in La Grande Bouffe (1973), brings the same blunt curiosity about appetite and self-destruction. He is not interested in romance.
