Synopsis
Watch "Audrie & Daisy" (2016) online on iFILM — a Netflix documentary directed by Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk about two American teenagers whose lives collapsed after sexual assaults at parties and the online harassment campaigns that followed.
Audrie Pott was 15, Daisy Coleman was 14. They lived in different states and never met, but their experiences ran in near-parallel: the assault, the photos shared without consent, the communities that closed ranks around the accused, the silence that schools and local authorities preferred. Daisy appears on camera. Audrie's story is told by her family — she did not survive to see the film released. Cohen and Shenk let the evidence and the people speak without commentary, which makes the documentary harder to watch and harder to dismiss than any editorialised account could be.
