Synopsis
"My Favorite Season" (Ma saison préférée, 1993) is a French drama to watch online on iFILM, directed by André Téchiné. A brother and sister who have not spoken in three years are brought back together by their aging mother who can no longer live alone.
Emilie (Catherine Deneuve) is forty-five and has everything she is supposed to want. None of it shows on her face. Her brother Antoine (Daniel Auteuil) is a neurosurgeon in Toulouse, effortlessly charming with women and completely unable to be close to anyone — except, perhaps, his sister. When their mother Berthe moves in and Christmas brings Antoine to the door, old resentments surface not in arguments but in pauses, in the things the family never managed to say. Chiara Mastroianni and Roschdy Zem appear in supporting roles.
