Synopsis
Another World (Un autre monde, 2022) is a French social drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Stéphane Brizé and starring Vincent Lindon as Philippe Lemesle, a senior executive caught between a collapsing marriage and a job description that keeps changing under him.
His bosses used to want a manager. Now they want someone who just signs off on layoffs. His wife, played by Sandrine Kiberlain, is already gone emotionally before she says so out loud. Brizé builds the film almost entirely from meetings and dinner-table silences — no villains, no breakdown scene, just the slow grind of a man trying to stay decent inside a structure that doesn't reward it.
This is the third film in Brizé and Lindon's informal labour trilogy, after The Measure of a Man and At War. The step up here is deliberate: the camera moves from the factory floor to the boardroom, and the moral cost is the same. Stream Another World (2022) online on iFILM.
