In Paris (Dans Paris, 2006) is Christophe Honoré's bittersweet French dramedy, available to watch online on iFILM. After a love affair falls apart, Paul moves back into his father's flat, holes up in his younger brother's room and won't get out of bed. Outside, it's winter in Paris; inside, a depression his family has every reason to fear — the same darkness took his sister.

Romain Duris plays Paul, while Louis Garrel is Jonathan, the breezy, flirtatious brother who talks to the camera and chases one woman after another across the city. Honoré builds the film on the contrast between the two — two siblings, two ways of carrying pain — and openly nods to the French New Wave, with direct address, a song dropped mid-scene and a loose, breathing rhythm.
