Apostasy (2017) is a British drama you can watch online on iFILM. Writer-director Daniel Kokotajlo drew on his own childhood inside a Jehovah's Witness congregation — and that firsthand knowledge gives the film its quiet, uncomfortable authority.

Siobhan Finneran plays a devoted mother who follows the faith's rules without hesitation, until one of those rules requires her to shun her own daughter. Sacha Parkinson is the daughter cast out after a transgression, building a life in the blank space the organisation has assigned to her. Molly Wright is the younger sister, watching and staying silent.
