Kedi (2017) is a documentary about Istanbul and its street cats that you can watch online on iFILM. Ceyda Torun directs.

The camera follows seven cats, each with a distinct personality and a turf of its own. One swipes food from restaurant kitchens, one fiercely chases rivals off her patch, another has visited the same shopkeeper for years. Through their routes the city reveals itself — markets, docks, rooftops, and the people who feed these animals and talk about them with surprising tenderness.

This is less a wildlife film than a portrait of Istanbul shot at paw level. Ceyda Torun grew up on these streets and made a love letter to a city you can no longer picture without its strays. Seventy-nine quiet, warm minutes for anyone who needs to exhale. Stream Kedi (2017) online on iFILM.
