Professor Arnaldo Cannistraci is gravely ill, and his doctors have ruled out any long journey. His one wish is to see Paris with his children. The trouble is that Bernardo, Giovanna and Ivana stopped speaking years ago and have all but forgotten the way to their father's door. To grant the wish, they commit to an absurd plan: load him into a camper van and stage the whole trip to France without leaving the ranch. Fake road signs, put-on accents, a power-line pylon standing in for the Eiffel Tower — and the pretend journey quietly starts mending what the family broke long ago.

Alongside Pieraccioni are Chiara Francini, Nino Frassica and Massimo Ceccherini, familiar names in Italian comedy.
