Synopsis
The Tag-Along (紅衣小女孩, 2015) is a Taiwanese horror film you can watch online on iFILM. Director Cheng Wei-hao built it around a piece of folklore the island has whispered about since the late 1990s: a home-video clip of a mountain hike showed a small girl in a red dress trailing the group, a child no one could account for.
One day before his grandmother comes back from her own unexplained disappearance, Wei goes missing too. His girlfriend Yi-jun refuses to wait for answers and starts digging, only to find old footage where something tagged along right before they vanished — a little figure in red. The deeper she pulls at the thread, the clearer it gets that the girl takes people one at a time, and she may be next on the list.
Tiffany Hsu carries the picture, playing not screams but the slow dread of someone who realizes saving the man she loves might cost her everything. The film kicked off a whole franchise back home, and its grip comes from a genuine urban legend rather than effects work. A good pick for fans of Asian horror that gets under your skin through forest silence and a child's humming. Stream The Tag-Along (2015) online on iFILM.
