The New Kid

Le Nouveau (The New Kid, 2015) is a French school comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Rudi Rosenberg. Benoît transfers to a new school, gets picked on by the popular crowd, and throws a party to change his social standing — three people show up.

Those three turn out to be worth the whole school. Nothing complicated about the set-up, and the film doesn't need it to be: Rosenberg keeps things short, warm, and honest about how adolescent hierarchies actually work.
